This Privacy Policy explains how HydraIQ ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the HydraIQ mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
When you use HydraIQ, we collect the following information:
- Account information: email address and password (used for authentication)
- Profile information: age, gender, weight, activity level, climate, and sleep schedule (used to calculate your personalized daily water target)
- Hydration data: water intake logs, timestamps, and intake amounts
- App usage data: notification preferences, reminder settings, behavior metrics such as adherence scores and peak drinking hours
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To calculate your personalized daily hydration target
- To send smart reminders and AI-generated hydration nudges
- To display your hydration history, streaks, and weekly insights
- To improve the accuracy of reminders over time based on your behavior
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted service providers:
- Supabase – our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) – used to generate personalized hydration messages. Only your hydration context (e.g., progress, time of day, personality preference) is sent — no personally identifiable information such as name or email is shared.
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Children's Privacy
HydraIQ is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
